What's not Included in birth doula services?
I provide emotional, physical, and informational support throughout your birth. But I also believe in setting loving, clear boundaries so everyone knows what to expect.
Here’s what’s not included in birth doula services:
- Medical tasks or clinical advice
- Driving or transporting family members
- Heavy housework – while I’m happy to help with laundry and light housekeeping while you’re bonding with your baby, I’m not able to do heavy domestic tasks
- In-depth lactation consulting (though I’m happy to refer you to someone amazing!)
Think of your doula as your guide, but not your nurse, midwife, or housekeeper.
